First sheet :
True and false:
1- pharmacodynamics is what the drugs do to body . (true)
2- bulk transfer mechanism depends lipid solubility. (false)
3- exocytosis is the invagination of extracellular substances as vesicles. (false)
4- If the drug is lipid soluble , the absorption rate is increased. (true)
5- Vancomycin is absorbed from GIT to systemic circulation to give its effect. (false)
6- Atropine decreases GI motility. (true)
7- Tetracycline binds strongly with Ca +2. (true)
_____________
Second sheet
True or False
1-drug which has very high water solubility are good absorbed (F)
2- a drug taken after meal is often more slowly absorbed (T)
3- conc of anti malarial quinacrine in the spleen is more than in plasma (F)
Complete
1- timolol eye drops is used in treatment of glucoma and can produce broncho spasm in asthmatic patient as side effect
2- methotrexate is administered intrathecally in ttt of childhood leukemia
3- biotransformation is conversion of lipid soluble drug to more polar compound in order to be excreted
Choose the correct answer:
_____________
Third sheet
- Histaminic antagonists produce all of the following except diarrhea
( sedation - prevention of vomiting - diarrhea)
- Sympathetic nervous system innervate all of the following except ciliary muscle
( adrenal medulla - sweat glands - ciliary muscle)
- B1 receptors present in heart
(small muscles - heart -adipose tissue)
Complete:
- Agonists can produce submaximal effect and never reaches the maximal effect called partial agonists
- Continued stimulation of cells with agonists result in state of desenstization or down regulation
- Adrenergic transmission is clasiified chemically to catecholamines & non catecholamines
_____________
Fourth sheet
Complete the following :
1- Vasopressor sympathomimetics are used in certain hypotensive state and as nasal decongestants
2- (Privine and (Afrin) have few side effects as rebound congestion and rise in blood pressure
3- Dobutamine has greater inotropic than chronotropic effects
4- effect of epinephrine in ,mtabolism Increases release of free fatty acid from adipose tissue and elevate level of cholesterol, phospholipids and lipoprotein.
5- Dopamine is used for the correction of haemodynamic imbalances present in the shock syndrome due to acute myocardial infarction
6- Amphetamines have a high potential for abuse and dependence.
7- methylphenidate used for narcolepsy and in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
8- Fenfluramine cause release of serotonin & may increase glucose utilization .
9- Phenmetrazine, phentermine and mazindol act through adrenergic and/or dopaminergic pathways.
10- Pheochromocytoma >>>> rare form of hypertension caused by tumor of adrenal medulla tissues.
_____________
Fifth sheet
1- what is the side effect of prazosine ? how we can solve it ?
side effect : first dose effect can lead to
coma(syncope) after 2 hrs after administration
we can solve it by administration before bed time
2- why B- blocker is contra-indicated for asmatic patient ?
if we use non specific B- blockers it cause block B2 receptors and cause bronchospasm , so we prefer selective B1 blocker .
3- why we don't use ACH as drug ?
it rapidly hydrolysed by enzyme cholinestrase and have diverse effects in human body.
Complete :
4- Methylergonovine (mehergine) and ergonovine (ergometrine) cause contraction for uterus S. muscles so used as treatment for hemorrhage after labor.
5- Decrease in M1 receptors cause Alzheimer Disease.
_____________
Sixth sheet
1 ) why we use mathacholine in diagnosis of
pheochromocytoma ?
Methacholine is a purely muscarinic drug in case of normal person will cause hypotention
but in the case of Pheochromocytoma : will cause
hypertention because stimulate E , NE from adrenal medulla
that leads to hypertention
2)what is the effect of muscarinic antagonists on
cardiovascular system ?why we use L-dopa with dopa decarboxylase in the periphery in treatment of parkinsonism ?
The first effect produced on the heart is paradoxically bradycardia for few seconds
slightly larger doses produce expected tachycardia
due to block of cardiac muscarinic activity
As L-dopa pass blood brain barrier but dopamine can not pass it
but L-dopa is hydrolyzed by dopa decarboxylase to form dopamine so administration of L-dopa with dopa decarboxylase in periphery will lead to pass of dopa to brain where it converts to dopamine and so increase it's concentration
Complete :
4- cholinergic drugs , acetozolamide used in reducing IOP
5- Atropin cause sandy eye by reduction
of lacrimal secretions
شكراا ياعبدة كتير
بس عندى سؤال هى المقدمة اللى فى الاول دى هنعمل فيها
أية ؟؟ أصل أنا لسة مبدأتش
thnX 3bdl ra7man
