Diagnosis :acute diffuse suppurative appendicitis
Description :the organ is markedly swollen . it is yellowish red
in color with bluish brown dots of haemorrhages.the peritoneal
covering is dull opaqueand has lost its normal luster

Diagnosis :multiple bilharzial polypi of colon with sandy patches
Description:the lumen of the segment show multiple polypi
Projecting from the whole circumference of the wall. They
vary in size (from 4mms to 1.5cms) sessile or pedunculated
,simple or branched.thepolypi is dirty yellow in color. The mucosa
In between the polypi is thickened granular and presents adull yellow coloraton

Description :triangular shaped slice of liver with shreddy
Peritoneal covering and smooth outer surface .ths specimen
Is soft in cosistency and yellow in color.the cut section shows
Rounded edge with yellow surface and greasy touch

Diagnosis :massive pulmonary embolism
Description : longitudinal section of left lung with emboli within
the main branches of pulmonary artery .the emboli are dry ,brown
in color doesnot fit within the shape of vessel (artery)in which
they exist.adjacentlung tissue appears normal due to sudden death
with massive embolism

Diagnosis : Moist gangrene of forearm
Description : the forearm and hand are swollen as evidenced by
Icreased depth of finger and obliteration of the palm .the skin
Is macerated . there is no line of demarcation

Specimen :upper lobe of a lung
Diagnosis :Tuberculoma of the lung
Description:the lung lobe is bisected to show an oval mass 6*3cm
Its lower pole is tapering towards a bronchus simulating atumor
of the bronchus ,but surronded by fibrous wall and compressed
lung parechyma .this mass is friable and greyish yellow in colour
the lining of the related bronchus is rough yellow as evidence of tuberculous process

Specimen :longitudinal section of the left lung
Diagnosis :fibrinous pleurisy
Description :the lung parenchyma seems to be normal . the parts
Of pleura still present and have lost their translucency and luster
It is dull ,opaque and adherent to the undrying lung tissue. Red
Treads of hyperemia are seen on the outer surface of visceral pleura

Diagnosis :Tuberculous lympadenitis
Description:the lymph nodes are enlarged ,matted together and
adherent to the surrounding. The cut surface present a grey
yellow friable cream cheese like foci(caseation)

Diagnosis:massive spontaneous cerebral haemorrage
Description:left basal ganglia shows a haematoma.it is
More or ess oval in shape about 3*4cms in diameter and of
Dark red color .it replaces normal tissue and the blood finds
Its wat to reach ventricular system where blood clots are detected

Diagnosis:malunion fracture of femur
Description:the femur shows oblique fracture of shaft.the
Distal end is diplaced medially and the fracture ends are
Impacted.there is arecent callus formation around the
Fracture as well as in the medullary cavity

Description :the middle and the lower parts of lung are the seat of
Large oval cavity 12*3cms.the wall of the cavity appear fibrous,
Thickened And of grey white color,hyperemia adds areddish tenge.
the pleural Covering is thickened fibrous and adherent to
the underlying lung. The fibrous nature of the wall is indicated from the fact that th cavite is patent

Specimen :urinary bladder, seminal vesicles and lower part of
Ureters
Diagnosis :polypoid carcinoma of urinary bladder
Description :the U.b is opened to show a polypoid mass arising
from the left side of the posterior wall. The mass is ovoid 8*5cms with fixed indurated base.the surface is rough, grayish white in color with yellowish necrotic area.mucosa of bladder is dirty yellow with dilated lumen and hypertrophied wall.the prostate is enlarged.

Specimen :one half of uterus and cervix
Diagnosis:subserous leiomyoma
Description:the half of uterus is of normal size. There is an oval
Mass of about 6*8cms in diameter. Its outer surface is
smooth in consistency. the cut surface shows acombination made of brown and greyish white strands.the bundles and strands show various arrangment in whorly appearance and interlacing with each other

Diagnosis : bilharzial splenomegaly
Description: the specimen is increased in size measures 25*15
cm.the enlargement is uniform without achange in its shape
the spleen is firm in consistency .the capsule is thickened
,fibrosis and adhesions are apparent at the hilum.the border s are thickened and rounded

Specimen :mass of fatty tissue
Diagnosis:lipoma
Description:the specimen represents one half ofamore or less
Roinded mass measuring about 11 cms in diameter with bossy
Surface.the mass is well demarcated, yellow colored,
of soft consistency with greasy sensation.the remains of the capsule appear as thin greyish colored fibrous tissue.there are area of dystrophic calcification and other of myxomatous degeneration
