ولا كمان
may be amide or imide ؟؟؟!???

في الdry heat .. هتطلع pungent odor

Action of 30% NaOH
cold: ammonia odour
Hot: No Change
comment: ammonium salt just ,, without writing amide or imide?

In Phenol sample ,.
phenol is slightly soluble in water ..so should we test it by litmus paper or not ? if yes it will be acidic
and thx a lot... I will come back if there's other questions,,n thx a lot for ur effort with us
Sorry For asking again dr.mohammed
does..Ethyl acetate reduce Fehling's solution ? if no..what other special tests can we do except hydrolysis
?
Because as u know hydrolysis takes long time it's difficult to make it in the exam because of time
acutally I know that it's easy to detect Ethyl acetate sample but we should write at least 2 special tests.

so the comment will be :

While making coupling with diazonium salt in the lab for aniline sample ..
I noticed that the result was yellow soln ,, that's is not the actual result of course,, so in this case should we add HCL to the sample before making this test???

in coupling test yes add HCl
aniline sulphate itself is odorless
and in its dry heat the odor produced is fishy odor so it may be aniline salt or anilide
and with soda lime and 30% NaOH both on cold fishy odor and on hot no change so it may be aniline salt
acetylation of aniline:
heat (5 ml aniline + 5 ml acetic anhydride + 5 ml acetic acid ) under reflux for 30 min
then pour in cold water and the pericipitated solid is collected by filtration and recrystallized from hot water

no, only hydrolysis is very enough and illustrate how we detect the hydrolysis products
